Payments: Advanced Fund Flows & Specialized Tools

Think of Payments as an application layer that utilizes the foundational Transfer capabilities. Payments extend these capabilities with features like payment links, unique per-transaction deposit addresses, a crypto payment gateway, and automated currency conversions, providing more sophisticated solutions for accepting payments at scale.

Pay-Ins encompass various methods Fuze provides for your platform or your End-Customers to receive funds, offering advantages over basic inbound transfers, especially in commercial or high-volume contexts.

1. Crypto Wallet and Fiat Account

  • Purpose: For specific transactions, invoices, or individual counterparty deposits where a unique, often temporary or single-use, crypto deposit address is desired. Creating separate crypto wallets for transactions or counterparties makes reconciliation easy.
  • How it Works: You can call "create crypto wallet" API and pass a currency as well as counterparty ID to the same.
  • Benefits (Compared to standard inbound transfers to a shared address):
    • Automated Reconciliation: Automatically links the incoming payment to a specific counterparty, order, or invoice.
    • Enhanced Privacy: Avoids exposing a primary deposit address repeatedly.

2. Pay-In Links

  • Purpose: A shareable URL that directs a payer to a Fuze-hosted or co-branded page to make a payment. This is ideal for invoicing, requesting one-off payments, or enabling easy account top-ups, offering a more guided experience than raw transfer instructions.
  • Functionality: The link typically presents:
    • Clear payment instructions and the specific amount due.
    • Automated Currency Conversion (Optional): If configured, the recipient can specify the amount they wish to receive in their preferred currency (e.g., 100 AED). The payer might then be given the option to pay with an alternative currency (e.g., USDT), with Fuze handling the conversion—a feature not available in basic Transfers.
  • Benefits:
    • User-Friendly: Simplifies the payment process for the payer.
    • Secure: Reduces the need for your platform to directly handle sensitive payment details from the payer.

3. Crypto Payment Gateway

  • Purpose: An API-driven solution for merchants and platforms to programmatically accept cryptocurrency payments for goods or services, often with built-in compliance considerations.
  • Key Features:
    • Payment Request Generation: Create unique payment requests, often linked to an order or customer identifier.
    • Flexible Payer Options with Automated Conversion: The gateway can allow payers to settle an invoice in one cryptocurrency while you receive funds in your preferred currency (e.g., a customer pays in BTC, you receive AED). Fuze can manage the real-time exchange and conversion, a capability beyond standard, same-currency Transfers.
    • Dedicated Payment Interface/Details: Provides the payer with a unique crypto address and the exact crypto amount to send for that transaction.
    • Payment Monitoring & Confirmation: Fuze monitors the blockchain for the incoming payment.
    • Status Notifications: Real-time updates (often via Webhooks) on payment status.
